Family Festival Greek-Style

Greek Fest is an annual family-friendly event held on the grounds of Holy Trinity-St. John the Theologian Greek Orthodox in Jackson, and this year the festival is May 3-5. Doors open on Friday at 11:00 a.m. for a gyro lunch and Greek pastries. Friday night activities begin with Lucky Hand Blues Band and Taste of the Mediterranean, hosted by local restaurants, featuring a variety of Mediterranean dishes, a cork pull, and a wine tasting. On Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 11:00 a.m., there will be lots of authentic Greek food and pastries, local vendors, professional Greek dancers, cooking demonstrations, and a children’s area, offering games, jumps, and snow cones. Magician Dorian LaChance will be performing in the kids’ area on Saturday afternoon. A portion of this year’s proceeds will benefit the Central Mississippi Downs Syndrome Society.
