Fall Family Festivals

There’s plenty to do in Central Mississippi to get into the spirit of fall. Check out a few of our favorites!
Sandy Run Farm Pumpkin Patch

Art Museum Chalk Festival
On October 17 at 5:30 p.m. the Museum of Art invites you to the first Chalk festival in Jackson. Artists from around the city will be teaming up with artists from the VSA to create chalk designs. The display is beginning at the MS Museum of Art and leading around the block towards the MS Arts Center, planetarium, and culminating at Thalia Mara Hall where the sounds of guest DJs will be spinning from the top of the new Big Krit mural. The path will host masterpieces from some of the most creative artists in Jackson, and will be dotted along the way with food trucks and positive inspired images. The chalk festival will be partnering with the MS museum of art for their 3rd Thursday event which is sure to turn some heads with a Halloween costume contest, Art Lab pumpkin painting, and inktober sketch battles to name a few. Don’t miss this unique event, the first of its kind in our city. #chalkwalkjxn
