WellsFest: A Day of Fun for the Entire Family

WellsFest – one of Mississippi’s most favorite family-friendly events – offers something for everyone again this year!
Organized by Wells United Methodist Church on Bailey Avenue in Jackson, this year’s event will be held on Saturday, September 28, at Jamie Fowler Boyll Park on Lakeland Drive.
“Wells Church’s motto is “Loving, Caring, and Sharing,” said the Rev. Chris Cumbest, Wells’ pastor. “That’s the gift of love from WellsFest and its volunteers to the community. We invite you to come enjoy live music, good food, and family fun.” Alcohol and drug free, this outdoor music and children’s festival has no admission charge or parking fee.
The program includes:
5K run/walk and one-mile Fun Run at 8 a.m.
Pet parade (with awards) at 9:30 a.m.
Live music from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Children’s play area with pony rides, ring-toss, mini-golf, a sand pile, face painting and more
Dozens of arts and crafts
Plant sale
Silent auction of goods and services from local businesses

Food and soft drinks
All proceeds will be donated to Extra Table, a statewide non-profit, founded by Hattiesburg chef and author Robert St. John. Extra Table’s mission is to
