Scott’s Toy Box: From My Favorites
I’m not really one for raindrops on roses or whiskers on kittens. They are perfectly fine, but they are not two of my favorite things. This month in the Toy Box, I found some toys that are closely related to a few of my favorite things.
Endertoys
Minecraft is one of my favorite games. I watch a couple of Youtubers play it and have even designed my own skin (the hard way in Photoshop). Endertoys allows you to take your skin and make it into a little action figure. There are 3 different types of action figures available. The Endertoy figure stands at 4 inches, the Endertoy v2.0 is also 4 inches tall but has legs that can move, and the third Endertoy is like the first but is 7 inches tall. Seuscraft.com/store, where you can purchase these toys, allows you to browse popular skins, upload your own, or type in your Minecraft name and it will pull your skin from the skin server. Using your Minecraft name allows you to surprise your favorite Minecrafter with their own skin, or allows you to collect your favorite Youtubers’ skins. I’ve also used an app available called Skin Creator that allows you to easily create your own skin, and makes changing your skin very simple. Madame Alexander Muppet Hand Puppets
The Muppets is one of my favorite shows from childhood. From The Muppet Show to movie versions such as Muppets Most Wanted, The Muppets have always brought a smile to my face. Madame Alexander is releasing Cloth Hand Puppets of the stars from the movie. You can choose between Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, or Animal. Each puppet is 10” tall and is perfect for creating your own Muppet show. The puppets offer enough room for even the adults to operate. Theyrange from $30 to $35 and will be available soon on MadameAlexander.com, along with 9” Cloth Dolls of each of these characters as well.
Loinel Train Set
Trains are one of my favorite ways of transportation, although I don’t get to ride the rails as much as I’d like to. My pocket watch features a train on the cover, and I even have a beautiful throw with a train barreling down the tracks on it. Lionel Trains are great ways to bring a love of trains into your home. They have many sets to choose from including the 10th Anniversary Polar Express Streamliner Train Set, the Coca-Cola Holiday G-Gauge Train Set, and the Batman LionChief Ready-to-Run M7 Subway Train Set. They also sell tracks and train cars so you can start building your own model train collection.
