Libraries in Mississippi Reopening

Some Central Mississippi library branches have been open to the public for a few weeks with certain restrictions. Starting July 7, all the libraries in Central Mississippi will reopen to the community. Here are some things you might need to know before you go to your local library.


NEW LIMITED HOURS

Hours may vary between branches. Call your local library for hours of operation or email Customer Service at custsvc@cmrls.lib.ms.us

 

TO USE THE LIBRARY
You must by order of the State of Mississippi and the CMRLS Board of Trustees:

  • Answer health questions upon entry
  • Wear a mask
  • Wash or sanitize your hands
  • Stay 6 feet away from others
  • Move any item you touch to the designated area

RETURNING ITEMS

Book drop-offs are open. All due dates were extended to September 30 and no overdue fines will accrue. Items will remain on your account in quarantine for one week and no overdue fines will accrue.

LIMITED COMPUTER USE

Computers have been spaced 6 feet apart and will be sanitized between each use.
Visitors are asked to reserve 30-minute sessions. One person per computer.

CONTINUED VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING

Programs will continue online through CMRLS.Libraries on Facebook.
