Parent Points: MS Pre-K Programs are Growing!
The Mississippi State Board of Education added seven new early learning collaboratives to the current list of 23 to provide high-quality early childhood education pre-K programs to 4-year-old students.
New locations include Jackson (Hinds), Noxubee, Senatobia, Holmes, Leland, Long Beach, and Pontotoc.
The seven new learning collaboratives will serve 2,050 pre-K 4-year-olds in 35 new classrooms and 72 existing classrooms, bringing the total number of students to more than 6,000. The total number of pre-K 4-year-olds served since the 2014-15 school year is more than 21,000.
