As a parent, you should listen to your child’s needs and concerns.

For example, if your child states that he or she needs privacy during studying, make sure nobody disturbs them during that time.

Skipping meals during exams is unfortunately a practice adopted by many stressed students.

Studying on an empty stomach is not going to help your child retain information properly and will reduce the effectiveness of their study sessions.

Make sure they eat healthy, nutritious and filling meals three times a day. In between meals give them fruits or healthy snacks to keep them energized and fresh.

Avoid feeding them sugary drinks or fatty foods because it will make them skip regular meals.

Check On How They Are Sleeping

If you have a stressed child, it is highly likely that they are not getting sufficient sleep.

Are they pulling all-nighters or staying up late at night to study or finish assignments?

Do they always look tired and have no energy for normal tasks during the day?

Getting no sleep is not going to help your child’s stress. If your child has been procrastinating a lot, there are chances that they will not get any sleep during the exam season.

It is important to encourage your child to sleep properly. Try to be a little strict about them finishing their homework on time so they can be ready and relaxed for bed.

If they are panicking about some last-minute project, consider lending them a hand.
