The Early Days
Founded back in 2016, the company was inspired by the Henning’s years-long stay in Kenya. “The idea for Upcountry Camp started when our family lived in Kenya. For four years we had amazing glamping adventures on safari, survived without modern conveniences, and lived with fascinating people from all over the world. When we moved back to the states, we wanted the values of ‘more experiences and less stuff’ to stick with us. We also wanted to share with people the biggest lesson we learned: Lasting memories are made when you have a shared experience with your loved ones. That’s what glamping does – it brings family and friends together in a uniquely bonding way,” stated Henning.
How it Works
The goal of Upcountry Camp is to provide customers with an exceptional glamping experience, taking care of all the details so that they can focus on creating lasting memories with their loved ones. Upcountry Camp offers a variety of glamping setups, including indoor and outdoor sleepovers, parties and picnics, a micro-event venue called Base Camp, and luxury glamping.
