Summer is about fun, but it can also be about keeping your child’s life of learning going strong. Taking a break between school years is important, but keeping your child reading and learning prevents the annual “summer slide” that happens to all kids each summer. Participating in summer reading programs — or visiting the outdoor classrooms of historical sites, parks, and museums — are all great ways of keeping the learning going all summer long.
