Pick A Place: Bright Lights, Belhaven Nights
The end of summer festival that should not be missed is right here in Jackson in the neighborhood of Belhaven, which is known for its eclectic mix of food, art & fun. There will be 5 stages of live music featuring a different genre of music on each including Blues, Jazz, Celtic, Indie Rock and Acoustical Music. There will be a Children’s Area for the little ones, food from different Belhaven restaurants, handcrafted items from merchants and artisans in the area, and raffle items given away as well.
The featured artist of this year’s Festival is Belhaven resident Laura Stennis, former licensed clinical social worker turned full-time artist, who created a customized block print for the festival that reflects elements of Belhaven. Her signed print will be included in the silent auction and t-shirts and posters featuring the artwork will also be available for purchase.
