Mississippi Children’s Museum Reopening to Visitors
Here is a special message from the Mississippi Children’s Museum. We are so glad to share the good news of the museum’s reopening next week!
Dear Friends of MCM,
We miss you and we have heard from many, many of you that your children miss the museum! We know for children this disruption in their regular schedules and not being allowed to visit places they love has been stressful. We appreciate not only your patience, but also your support as we establish our reopening plans.
We are excited to share that we will be opening to the public on Tuesday, June 23 at 9:00 am with timed visits and a limited capacity. Guests will be able to buy tickets for a timed session here on our website. Between sessions, the museum will close for 30 minutes for complete disinfection of exhibit galleries and public spaces.
What will MCM do to safely welcome visitors?
- Limit occupancy
- Offer timed tickets
- Expand cleaning protocols
- Mask and wellness requirements for museum staff
- Increase sanitation stations
- Offer additional outdoor programming
What can you do to help?
- Stay home if you feel sick
- Maintain six feet of distance between groups
- Let us check your temperature
- Wash your hands regularly
- Masks are strongly encouraged as age appropriate
We are also asking friends of MCM to consider making a donation to our Inspiring Hope campaign to help offset the increased costs of reopening. Even a small gift allows us to purchase the increased supplies and support the staff necessary for a Safe, Clean, Fun! reopening!
We look forward to welcoming you to MCM!
