A Virtual Salute to Mississippi Seniors

Students who were preparing to graduate this spring are feeling a range of emotions after their long-awaited, in-person commencement ceremonies were either altered, postponed, or canceled due to coronavirus-related concerns. Secretary Watson delivered a virtual commencement address via Facebook Live on Monday to honor graduating seniors all across our state. The online address is a part of Salute to Seniors, the Secretary of State’s Office’s digital celebration for the Class of 2020. We may be physically distant, but there are still plenty of ways we all can come together to help ease the hurt and pain our students are feeling during this time.
