Create Your Own Masterpiece with the MS Museum of Art

In an effort to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19, the Mississippi Museum of Art galleries remain closed at this time. This evolving situation is continuously being monitored, following guidance from the City of Jackson, CDC, Mississippi Department of Health, American Alliance of Museums and WHO. Stay updated via email, the website, and social media (@msmuseumart).
In the meantime, the Museum is brought to you at home with these free digital resources for all ages!
Education Takeover on Social Media
The education team at the Mississippi Museum of Art began a “takeover” of the Museum’s social media on Friday, March 20. Since then, they’ve been posting daily resources for art lovers of all ages on their Instagram stories and on Facebook. At the end of each week, these resources are archived on the EDUCATION DIGITAL RESOURCES page of their website.
There is a thematic focus emerging based on interaction with viewers. The current spotlights include ART AND LITERACY on Mondays, TRIVIA on Tuesdays, STUDIO ART on Wednesdays, INTERACTIVE ACTIVITIES for all ages Thursday through Saturday, and the Museum’s Center for Art and Public Exchange (CAPE) on Sundays, with highlights from our permanent collection sprinkled throughout the week.
