Christmas Magic of Columbia Mississippi
Main Street in Columbia
Columbia, MS – a charming small town within an hour and a half drive from Jackson – got completely transformed for the holidays. If you’re able to stop by, go to Main Street on the weekend and check out the beautifully decorated Courthouse and the Main Square. Thousands of twinkling lights throughout the city make it a truly magical place.
Both the locals and the visitors come to enjoy the holiday atmosphere, take pictures, do some gift-shopping and enjoy special treats from local vendors. Candlelight, Carols, and Claus is a family-friendly festival that is fun for all ages. The little ones enjoy Trolley rides through the city. And the Grinch Train is a big hit, of course! Grinch himself may make an appearance and each ride is sure to be an unforgettable one. Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus at Jan Marie’s Upscale Flea Market. Pose for a professional picture with Santa at Sweet Olive Boutique, write a letter to Santa at Berry Patch and make some Reindeer Food at Tis Sew Sweet. The shops and restaurants are open late this month. This allows visitors to stay as long as they want and have dinner and coffee or hot cocoa without missing out on all the fun. Stop by at Second Street Bean for snacks, treats and a hot drink, if you need to refuel and get warm. And then, back to the fun on the Square!
