Trips to Disney World are amazing but not always in the budget for some families. Believe it or not, there are still incredible ways to have fun without spending an arm and a leg. The Jackson metro area has countless options for families, date nights, or just for people wanting to get out and do something different. Experiences are priceless and don’t have to be expensive. The winding trails and looming trees give it an eerie feel. Muddy water surrounding old wooden bridges and walking trails that wind through the woods will keep your children entertained and they will get tons of exercise and fresh air.

Spend a day at the nature center: The city of Clinton has an amazing Nature Center that is a full on educational experience. It has walking trails and educational displays in a part of the preserved tract of woods right in the heart of Clinton. The trails are open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. until sunset.

There are four fire engines that are often on display at the station ranging from the early 1800s to the 1960s. If the firefighters aren’t busy saving lives, they may even give your kids a slide down the fire pole and show them what life is like in the day of a firefighter.
