Scott’s Toy Box: Go Figures!

For years I’ve collected action figures. I have had Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the 80’s cartoon), Jurassic Park, even Star Wars characters. Having likenesses of my favorite characters is something I even enjoy today, as I attempt to create my own Justice League by buying the characters I want to have in it. This month in the toy box, I went and found some action figures and dolls of great characters so that you can start a team of your own.

Madam Alexander’s Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return dolls

First we have Madam Alexander’s Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return dolls. This series includes Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Glinda, and China Princess as they appear in Legends of Oz. These plush dolls stand 12″ and are made from cloth. Madam Alexander also has a Wizard of Oz series that includes Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Winged Monkey and Wicked Witch, as they appear in the classic movie Wizard of Oz. Both sets go well together so you can mix up your favorites. You can get both sets on, costing between $35-$30. The Wizard of Oz dolls are available now and the Legends of Oz dolls will be available June 15.

D.I.Y. Funko Pop Vinyls

Next, there are D.I.Y. Funko Pop Vinyls. I’ve written about the Pop Vinyls before, back in April 2013. They are about 7″ tall and have a wide variety of characters. Now you can make one of yourself! The D.I.Y. Pop Vinyls are completely white, allowing you a blank canvas to customize them however you want to. There are male and female versions. Pop Vinyls cost about $10 on and the D.I.Y. Vinyls will come out in June.

Marvel Super Hero Mashers

Finally we have Marvel Super Hero Mashers. These action figures are customizable and awesome. Their hands, legs, and head come off and can be mixed and matched with other action figures so you can make any amalgam of Marvel superheroes that you want. There are many different characters to choose from within the Marvel universe from Spiderman to Captain America, and even some villains. There are even accessories that come with some of the action figures that are interchangeable with all of them. I hope that they continue to expand this series and maybe even start a series of DC superheroes so you can mix and match all types of characters. The figures can be found many places like Target or on and they cost between $20-$10
