Letter from the Editor: DeSoto March/April 2018
Hi, Parents & Kids! I’m so thrilled to meet you.
My name is Dasha. I am originally from Ukraine (it’s in the heart of Europe, look it up on the map if you want!) and I moved to Mississippi with my family last fall. I’m a writer, an editor, a teacher and I’m the type of mom that never sits still. I’m thrilled to be the editor for DeSoto Parents & Kids Magazine and explore Mississippi together with you.
Spring is finally here, and it’s filling hearts with joy and hope. Spring is a time for transformation, it’s a call to experience life in a new way. For me and my family that means getting outdoors and exploring the beauty around us, taking the time to appreciate it. What does it mean for you? If you want to see what is happening in the area, check out our Family Fun Calendar! If you’re planning to have your kids attend summer camp or a church Vacation Bible School, now is a good time to fill out an application. You’ll find our Summer Camp Directory in this issue – the ultimate guide for planning a fun, exciting and budget-friendly summer for your family.
